    STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
    MEDIEVAL DIAMOND PATTERN

    TOOLS AND MATERIALS NEEDED

    • Black water-based paint
    • Cardboard or Foamcore
    • Silver powder
    • Squeegee

    Getting Started:

Cut out a square piece of cardboard or foamcore the size of the diamonds you wish to have on your wall.

Hold the diamond at the top of the wall in a corner, so that the point touching the top of the wall is the same distance from the corner as the point touching the side of the wall.

Lightly trace the diamond onto the wall in pencil.

Match up the side of the diamond to one already traced, and continue the pattern until the whole wall is covered with traced diamonds.

Pour some black paint into a container, and mix in a little bit of silver powder to give it a pewter look.

Pour this mixture onto a tray. Dip the squeegee into the paint, removing excess paint so that it's not too drippy.

Place the squeegee over one of the traced diamond lines and press it down so that the edge of the squeegee leaves a naive line. Continue this process until all the diamonds have been outlined. You can wipe off any mistakes with a bit of water.
