Getting Started... 1. Slap the stucco onto the surface, using either a brush (for small surfaces) or a roller (for large surfaces) with random strokes. Make sure the whole surface is covered.
2. Using small strokes, smooth out the stucco with a spatula, creating texture. 3. Leave the surface to dry for a few hours. 4. Once the surface is dry, apply a coat of acrylic varnish to seal the plaster.
When the sealer is dry, apply the latex paint (2 parts paint, 1 part water) with a brush or roller. With a rag, rub the paint into the cracks. For large surfaces,
a large sheet of craft paper can be used; just press it onto the wall and then gently peel it off. The idea for painting stucco is that the diluted paint goes
into the cracks and crevices, highlighting the texture of the surface. [main] [antique chair]
