Getting Started... 1. Sand off any old varnish or uneven paint. Brush off sandings. 2. Apply one coat of latex primer. Allow time for primer to dry. 3. Apply one coat of red latex paint. Let dry.
4. Apply one coat of the white base over the red coat. Let dry. 5. Sand off some of the white so that the red appears to be showing through
in certain areas. Sand more in the areas that would normally show the most wear and tear, such as the edges, to give it an older, used look. Though the
white will be predominant, you should be able to see a bit of the original wood, as well as a bit of red. 6. Add a little bit of gold paint to all the little crests and edges for a finishing touch. [main] [stucco]
